Easter 2018

You are invited to join us as we celebrate Easter.

We’d love you to join us.

Thursday 29th March, 8pm – Maundy Thursday Service

During this service we will remember Jesus’ Last Supper with the disciples where he broke bread, shared wine and washed their feet. Our service will conclude by preparing the church space to commemorate Good Friday

Friday 30th March – Good Friday Walk of Witness, 9.45am

We join with the other churches in Bramhall to witness our faith by following the cross to a service in the middle of the village. Starts with a short service at the URC church.

Friday 30th March – Good Friday Vigil, 12pm

Bishop Libby Lane, The Bishop of Stockport will lead a 3 hour vigil as we remember and commemorate Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. You are welcome to join us for all of part of it. The vigil will include readings, music and reflections and times of quiet reflection.

Saturday 31st March, 8pm – Easter Vigil

We move from the darkness of Good Friday into the beginning of the Easter service. This service we remember Jesus being the light of the world and begin to celebrate his resurrection.

Sunday 1st April, 8am and 10am – Easter Sunday Celebrations

We celebrate the joy of Easter, proclaiming that Jesus is alive. Join us for a reflective and joy-filled service at 8am and a more family friendly celebratory service at 10am.

Wednesday 4th April – Easter Celebration Tea

We host an afternoon tea for those who live on their own or are in care homes. You are welcome to join us at 3pm for a free afternoon tea and to continue to celebrate Easter.

Thursday 5th April – Easter Holiday Club

We are hosting a holiday club for children between school years 3 and 6 which will be filled with games, music, storytelling and forest school activities. To book a place contact the parish office on [email protected] or 0161 439 3989. The day is free but bring your own lunch!
